The One and Only Post
So I actually do have a blog, but it's not here. I blog at http://blogs.iloha.net/blogalog/. It's apparently syndicated at
ericrogers.
Interestingly, and a bit on the sinister side of things, there is very little that I can do to kill this syndicated account that someone set up if I, perchance, no longer want my first and last name tied to my blog. From the FAQ:
"You must first take server-side action to block the content from being syndicated to a LiveJournal account. For instance, if the syndicated account on LiveJournal is using your site's RSS or Atom feed, you should disable that feed in order to prevent it from being syndicated onto LiveJournal.
If you would like to keep the feed, but prohibit LiveJournal from using it, you can block LiveJournal's IP address (66.150.15.150) from accessing your server. This will prevent your content from being syndicated onto LiveJournal.
Syndicated accounts retain entries for two weeks in order to allow LiveJournal users to view them. Content may continue to be visible on the syndicated account after you have disabled access to the feed; the entries will be automatically deleted after two weeks. There is no way to accelerate this process.
LiveJournal will not take action if the syndicated account is using a feed provided by your site. If for some reason you are unable to disable the feed or block LiveJournal's IP address, you should contact the LiveJournal Abuse Team for further assistance. Likewise, if your site does not offer an RSS or Atom feed, but it is being "screenscraped" and syndicated onto LiveJournal, please file a report with the Abuse Team."
What a pain. Anyway, I'm done here.
